He also confirmed that the company filed for three patents at the United States Patents and Trademarks Office on November 25th. He also shared the news on his Twitter. Many other automobile manufacturers have also entered the Web3 world like Porsche, Nissan, etc.

At the beginning of 2022, the Middle Eastern subsidiary of the company launched a unique NFT project, ‘The Sound of Museum.’ Before that, in 2021, it unveiled JOYTOPIA, a virtual world that was built to explore during the 2021 IAA Mobility.

Like BMW, it is certain that more and more brands will enter the metaverse and NFT space in order to establish their brand presence and also maintain their originality in the virtual world. Filing for patents and trademarks is usually the first step to ensure that nobody can steal your brand’s identity whether you are in the physical world or the virtual world.
