Artificial intelligence is definitely impressing us every day. More and more people are believing that it will play a key role in revolutionizing a lot of industries. Of course, we still face challenges and issues that need to be addressed but with technology advancing every day, we will eventually find a workaround for it.

After artificial intelligence, the company OpenAI also impresses many people with the kind of technology it keeps on introducing. First, it blew people’s minds with the introduction of DALL-E, its AI-powered text-to-image generator and now it’s turning your text requests into essays, poems, articles, marketing plans, etc. You “prompt it” and it will give you what you desire, in fact, it gives you better than what you can expect.

Behold… OpenAI’s Chat GPT

OpenAI, the company behind DALL-E 2, has come up with a new chatbot – ChatGPT and the internet is loving it! People have been sharing what they are creating using ChatGPT on Twitter after the company asked them for feedback. On Dec 2, 2022, OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, tweeted, “there is a lot more demand for ChatGPT than we expected; we are working to add more capacity.”

Musk left the company in 2018, and after the introduction of ChatGPT, he acknowledged and tweeted about it saying, “AI is getting really good.”

The company previously introduced GPT 3 which could produce text pieces using simple text descriptions and also gained popularity but it had certain limitations. On the contrary, people on the internet are quite impressed by ChatGPT.

OpenAI was co-founded by Tesla and Elon Musk and Sam Altman were working together with other investors to build AI technology that could benefit humanity. But, Musk left the company in 2018, and after the introduction of ChatGPT, he acknowledged and tweeted about it saying, “AI is getting really good.”

How to use OpenAI’s Chat GPT?

ChatGPT is open to everyone to use during a “feedback period” and the company hopes that this feedback will be helpful in improving the final version of the model.

Using ChatGPT is also very simple. Just write whatever you want in the chatbot provided like “a poem on the dying cryptocurrency market” and the bot will start typing. You can also choose the kind of content you want to produce whether you want a poem, essay, or an elaborate marketing plan, etc.

Feedback and Limitations of ChatGPT

While chatbots are not new at all, not every company that has introduced one has seen the amount of popularity that ChatGPT managed to gain. For example, Microsoft’s chatbot Tay was taken down after Twitter users managed to teach the bot to say sexist, racist, and offensive remarks.

Developers of this AI tool have addressed that ChatGPT doesn’t necessarily produce correct answers all the time and can “sometimes writes plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical answers.” It can also be excessively verbose because of the training it has received from humans. Many users also pointed out the flaws that the tool produced.

ChatGPT is also good at recognizing what it is being asked. For instance, if a previous model was asked an impossible question, it could come up with a fictitious answer but this chatbot is aware of what it is being asked and also warns that the answer produced may not be entirely true. Another thing to note is that this AI model also denies answering certain requests. When we input the text “how to rob someone”, the chatbot notified us that it is illegal to rob someone and also told us that there are many ways we can address our financial problems. But you can certainly work with the words to get a detailed guide on how to rob someone.

ChatGPT has been trained on a huge sample text that is available on the internet. So, this tool might also face issues related to copyright that DALL-E is already facing.
