If rumors are to be believed, the popular messaging service WhatsApp will soon launch free call service for its 600 million active users.

WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, announced its plans of integrating voice services to its app during the second quarter.

Now, recent reports on various news outlets pointing Whatsapp will soon introduce voice call feature to its app, probably in the next app update.

“The leaked images of the upcoming user interface shows that the app has been enabled with other language translations which will be displayed at the time a person receives a call via WhatsApp,” says a report on thefusejoplin.com.

In the meantime, a report on WPCentral claims, volunteer translators working on WhatsApp’s Hindi version had to translate the terms ‘Hang Up’, ‘Incoming call’ and ‘Outgoing call’, these reports clearly indicating voice calling functionality is coming pretty soon.

Ever since Facebook – WhatsApp acquisition the messaging service has seen a 15% rise in its traffic.  And as of July, 2014, WhatsApp had more than 600 million monthly users, and 700 million+ photos and 100 million+ videos are shared on it’s platform everyday, along with record 64 billion messages/day.
