Everything Apple announced at its ‘Peek Performance’ event

The Apple Peek Performance Event saw the introduction of the Apple M1 Ultra chip, iPad Air, iPhone SE 2022, many more exciting developments.

Apple held an online Event- Peek Performance on 8th March 2022. This event featured many announcements and updates that the company is introducing to give their customers an enhanced experience of their products. This event included the company’s important lineups, while some of these were expected, some announcements caught customers off guard. iPhone SE 2022

According to everyone’s expectations, Apple announced the launch of its iPhone SE 2022. Although the look of this model is similar to the previously released SEs, this device features 5G support which was not available in the previous iPhone SE and is only available in the iPhone 12 and 13 series. The other features of the iPhone SE 2022 include better battery life, a new camera system, and the A15 Bionic processor.

Apple M1 Ultra

An addition to the Apple Silicon line-up is the new M1 Ultra. The M1 Ultra is a combination of two M1 Max chips. This is not two individual M1 chips but two complete systems-on-a-chip. The company said that the M1 Ultra chip works eight times faster than a standard M1 chip and it also uses 65% less power than a 16-core desktop.

This is also the last of the M1 chips that the company has announced, marking the end of the M1 chip era. The company also teased about a new MacPro that may come with a new processor.

Apple Mac Studio

The Apple Mac Studio has been created for creative professionals. The looks of it are similar to a Mac Mini, only taller. It is aimed at professionals who require more I/O as it features two USB-C ports, one SD card reader, HDMI, USB-A, Ethernet and one more USB-C at the back. It can be equipped with an M1 Max or M1 Ultra processor.

Along with this, the company also introduced the Studio Display monitor. Some of its features are a 27-inch display with 5K Resolution, six speakers and an anti-reflective coating. It also comes along with a stand with an upgrade option to adjust the height.

iPad Air

The iPad Air has also received new updates, most of them are internal. With very few changes in its looks, it uses an M1 chip with a 12 MP camera. As compared to the last iPad Air, the CPU performance boosts by 60% and the graphic performance has improved by two times.

Other Announcements

Along with these exciting developments, the company also announced that its streaming service will now feature two Major League Baseball Games on Friday. It has also introduced the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro in an Alpine Green shade which is expected to be available by 18th March 2022. The Apple iOS 15.4 is set to come out this week, which will enable users to unlock their phone using Face ID while wearing their masks.

The company also addressed the environmentally friendly efforts it takes while launching its products. Its products are made from 100% recycled rare earth elements and its products are designed while aiming at saving energy.
