4 Facebook Tweaks Which You Might Not Know

Share

If you’ve been using Facebook for a long time and if you think if you know it all – you’re wrong. Here are some of the Facebook Tweaks which might help you in real time.

#1) Using Facebook on your Slower Internet Connection

When you hit the Facebook feeds / wall, there is a lot of stuff to be loaded. A lot of pictures and other data, that requires some time. If your internet connection is really really really slow, it’ll be like waiting for a bus which is gonna be arriving half an hour later – which you seriously don’t want.

OR, you have the speed and still don’t want to waste much data on Facebook – you just want to chat with people. That’s all? Then see how you can do it.

  • Use the Mobile Version of Facebook.
Even if you have logged in from your desktop computer, you can still use the mobile version just by going to this link.
    mbasic.facebook.

    mbasic Facebook
Mobile Version of Facebook on Desktop

This page might not look so glamorous. But when it comes to saving data and speed, it’s the Super hero. The mobile version website of the Facebook doesn’t download or cache much data into your device.

  • Go to a Not Found Page.
The Mobile Version website isn’t glamorous at all. And, you might be a person who wants to see the chat boxes popping out and who want to scroll through the list of your friends who are online and send them a message. Well, don’t worry.
You just need to go to a not found page on Facebook. Just head up to a broken or wrong link.
    For example : www.facebook.com/SocioBitsPageNotFound.
These kinda not found pages will only load the text showing the page is not found and a dislike button (thumbs up image upside down). And that means not much of data.
The best part is that, you’ll also get to use the chat boxes and the chat sidebar. Hurraay!

#2) Find out who that Missed Call Was.

Do you keep on getting a missed call from an unknown number? Or, do you want to verify if that number you have with you is your friend’s for sure? Well, Facebook will make the job easier for you.

In this fast forwarding social media world, the statistics of people who register their mobile numbers with their Facebook accounts are increasing, like a lot.

And fortunately, you can take advantage of this to find out the owner of a mobile number, hopefully.

Just enter (type in) the mobile number you want to know about in the search bar. And if that person has registered that mobile number with his / her Facebook account, you’ll be redirected to it. Hurraay!

#3) Get notified when Someone Unfriends you.

You normally gets a notification when someone adds you on Facebook.  But, do you want that to happen when someone does the exact opposite?
Now you can get a notification every time someone unfriends you.

Social Fixer is an amazing tool that helps you to do much more than that. It also helps you to :

  • Filter your news feed by keyword, author, and more
Tabbed news feed organizes posts by games, apps, etc
Hide parts of the page you don’t want to see
    Hide posts you’ve already read
Auto-switch to the Most Recent news feed
Add some style with custom themes

#4) Post a Blank / Empty Status.

I’ve seen a lot of people posting empty status on Facebook, even without a letter or a character. And I wondered how until last week when I read an article somewhere.

You can now impress your friends and show off a little just by posting nothing but something. If you know what I mean :)

Just go to Facebook, hold Alt and press 0, 1, 7 and 3 respectively and click Post. This will post the null character as your status which basically is an empty space. Laptop users can do this after activating the Number Lock.
